Communicating with Communities and AAP
- Meeting the information and communication needs of people affected by crisis through grassroots media and humanitarian journalism;
- listening to the community and collecting systematic feedback.
SACMID considers information and communication as critical forms of aid, without which crisis-affected communities cannot access services or make the best decisions for themselves. SACMID utilizes all available communications channels, including humanitarian radio programs and newsletters, mass media, SMS and face-to-face conversations to listen to affected communities and to provide them with actionable, accurate and timely information.
