South Asia Center for Media in Development (SACMID) hosted a dissemination workshop titled “Experiences & Expectations”, marking the conclusion of a one-year project, “Connecting Community, Strengthening Voices Through CSO-Media Alliance in Jashore District.” at National Institute of Mass-communication (NIMC)
SACMID Board of Trustees member Nazar-E-Zilani was the chief guest at the workshop. The workshop was chaired by Dr. Md. Maruf Nawaz, Director (Training) of the National Mass Media Institute (NIMC). SACMID deputy director Syed Kamrul Hasan, project co-partner and editor of Daily Gramer Kagoj, Mobinul Islam Mobin, along with project fellows, fact-checkers, journalists, and representatives from various NGOs, were among the approximately 30 participants. Dr. Shaikh Mohammad Shafiul Islam, Head of the Media Studies and Journalism Department at United International University, conducted the workshop. SACMID’s program officers Md. Shahniur Islam and Abu Sufian gave a brief presentation on the project.”
South Asia Center for Media in Development (SACMID) has implemented the project with funding from the European Union and under the supervision of Free Press Unlimited and Article 19 from January 2024 to December 2024 in co-partnership with Daily Gramer Kagoj.
