South Asia Center for Media in Development (SACMID) successfully organized a day-long workshop titled “Digital Literacy” in Sirajganj. The event took place today, Tuesday (April 29), at the auditorium of a local Restaurant.
The workshop was organized under the project “Empowering Media Professionals, Girl Students, and Community Women through an Improved Understanding of Digital Threats and Security Measures.” funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangladesh. In Sirajganj district, the project is being implemented in partnership with the local NGO- Community Development Organization (CDO).
The training was conducted by S. S. Al Arafin, an experienced multimedia journalist working with a reputed national daily. He provided hands-on training to participants on digital security, fact-checking, responsible use of social media, and safe communication online.
