SACMID organized a discussion meeting titled “Violence, Risks, and Protection for Women and Young Girls in Digital Media: Need Assessment” held on January 28 at Red Roof Inn, Cumilla.
This event was part of a project “Empowering Media Professionals, Girl Students and Community Women through an Improved Understanding of Digital Threats and Security Measures” funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangladesh.
This discussion meeting focused on the risks and safety concerns faced by women and young girls in the digital space, particularly in the context of Bangladesh.
Attendees included entrepreneurs, social welfare organization leaders, professors, students, and other stakeholders from various sectors of society in Comilla. The event was attended by Syed Kamrul Hasan, Deputy Director of the South Asia Center for Media in Development.
South Asia Center for Media in Development will work on this project in Comilla, Khulna, and Sirajganj.
