South Asia Center for Media in Development (SACMID) has been registered recently in Dhaka Zilla NGO Portal as a part to inform and to update the responsible official of Dhaka Deputy Commissioner (DC) Office about the activities of the organization.
SACMID is a Media Development Organization (MDO) fostering development of media in Bangladesh and South Asia region as an indispensable part of tackling poverty and enabling Bangladesh attain its sustainable development vision. With proper research and consultation with media development professionals, SACMID has been working on Media Literacy which broadly covers 2 (two) components: Gender Literacy (in Media) and Information Literacy (in Media). SACMID also works to contribute in the field of RTI, digital safety and with the government departments to achieve the vision of ‘Digital Bangladesh’.
SACMID has been registered with NGO Affairs Bureau under the provisions of ‘The Foreign Donations (Voluntary Activities) Registration Act 2016’.The Registration number is: 3255.
