April 25, 2024: The fifth-round table thematic workshop organized by SACMID took place in Mymensingh on April 25th, starting at 10:00 am. The event, funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangladesh, was held at the Shilpacharya Joynul Abedin Auditorium of Mymensingh Zilla Parishad.
The workshop focused on the crucial topic of “The Role of Family, Parents, and Teachers in the Fair Use of Social Media: A Perspective from Mymensingh.” Mahfujul Alom Masum, Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Mymensingh, served as the keynote speaker, while Amit Roy, Secretary of Mymensingh Press Club, was the co-speaker.
The event was a collaboration between SACMID and Trinamool Unnayan Shangstha (TUS), a local development organization. Khandokar Faruque Ahmed, the Executive Director of TUS, chaired the workshop, and Easin Ahmed, Program Officer of SACMID, elaborated on the workshop’s objectives.
A diverse group of 35 participants attended the workshop, including 17 female participants. They represented various backgrounds such as journalists, academicians, local elected representatives, students, and others.
