The day-long photography exhibition of the selected photographs from the photography competition was held on April 4 at Bishwo Shaitto Kendro, Dhaka. SACMID has announced this photography competition on the occasion of celebrating International Women’s day of 8th March, around the theme: Move 4 Women in Media. Three competitors have been judged as winners and two others were mentioned as “Honorable” for their quality photographs. A judge’s panel comprising national level photographers and the online voting decided the results of the competition. The winners are Reben Dhar (1st), Md Tarek Mahmud (2nd) and Subrata Dey (3rd) while the honorable mentions are for Asaduzzaman Rassel and Md.Tarek Mahmud. The winners have been honored by crest, certificate and prize money in a brief awarding ceremony organized at the evening at gallery premises. The awarding ceremony has been graced by the presence of Albana Shala, Program Coordinator, Free Press Unlimited as chief guest and Dr.Jude William, Chairman, Media Studies and Journalism Department of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh as the special guest. Among others, there were: Dr. Amiruzzaman, Member, Jury Panel, and Mesbah Uddin Sumon, Coordinator, Bishwo Shaitto Kendro. The winners received their awards and the certificates from the hands of chief guest and the special guest. They have been encouraged by the inspiring speeches from the Special guest and the Chief guest of the event. In a brief session, the winning photographers and the Judge also spoke about their experiences. The program was attended by numbers of exhibition visitors and all SACMID team members. Earlier, SACMID Team has greeted and welcomed Albana Shala and Dr.Jude while they reached at the venue.
